Thanksgiving Week

Ok, I'm finally getting to my Thanksgiving week. (My Mimi called today and made me feel guilty about not posting these yet, so here you go Mims :)

We started off by going to the OU/Texas Tech game. I was cheering for OU to beat Tech by a small margin - at this point, I was hoping there would be a 3 way tie for the Big 12 South Championship (check), Tech would be out of the running (check), and that based on HEAD TO HEAD COMPETITION, Texas would go to the Big 12 Championship...did not happen!! I was (and still am) furious. Ok, I'm going to just leave it a that before I get going again...
After church on Sunday:

My Mom and Nannie came up to keep Macy during the game and that was a huge help! Macy refuses to take a bottle anymore, but she didn't starve to death while we were gone :) I love Mace's face in this one:

Ok, now for our actual trip...we went to Minnesota to visit Michael's family for Thanksgiving. It was a 50's theme this year - they have a theme for every Thanksgiving. I remember Michael telling me about these get-togethers when I first met him, but I thought he was joking...turns out he wasn't!

Here's Macy right before we left. She was already worn out!

Becky, Mel, Myra, and Me:

Check out these hotties!

Michael's mom made all of the girls' poodle skirts and I was amazed! Here I am with Mace, Mel, and Jaylen. The little girls looked so adorable in their skirts!

The Clarks:

Macy's faces just cracked me up in these two pics:

Ok, as promised in my last post, here are a few pics from our "Evolution of Dance" routine. We are still working on getting the video up, and will let everyone know when that happens. I'm not even going to try to explain these...

Buddy Holly:

Macy, I think Jay is calling you out...

Mace and Michael at the soccer game. I will have to brag a bit and say Mel and I were the only ones to score for the South team.

The Clarker's - You can see the lake in the background and it was frozen. FROZEN! My Texas blood cannot fathom a lake being frozen where you can walk and drive a car out on it! I also can't imagine it being cold enough over several months that the lake stays frozen. I told Michael I refuse to move any farther north. I said Danforth Road would be as far as I would go. Maybe Covell if he was lucky. My philosophy - The closer to the Equator, the better.

Jaylen, Maida, and Macy:

I love Macy's blue eyes:

We also got to go the the Vikings/Bears game while we were in Minnesota. I think Mel and I were the only people crazy enough to take babies to the game. (Thank goodness for the dome/heat!) When we first headed to the stadium on the Metro, I was sure we had made a big mistake, but it turned out great. Both Macy and Jay did so, so good.
